Here’s a few photos of what we’ve been up to today! First stop was a local river taxi to Wat Arun, which was a crowded but all the same great experience! Wat Arun itself was having restoration done and was therefore covered in scaffolding and not photograph worthy, however we did also visit a temple on the same site which was gorgeous.
Here I was lucky enough to be blessed by a monk for good luck; which I’m probably going to need at some point over the next 7 months!
We then decided to visit Jim Thompson house, a museum just off of Siam square (whole post on this coming). This area of the city is much more westernised than Banglamphu and Khao San, with mental traffic and high rise flats that make you shiver.
We are now back at our hostel after day 2 and ready for some dinner; another great day experiencing the Thai capital!
